1 Getting Started

Requirements to offer Rendr as a delivery method

To offer Rendr’s Delivery services on your website, you will need to enable Custom Carrier Rates on your Shopify store. This will allow Rendr’s premium and flexible delivery services to be available to your customers. Please contact Shopify and request Custom Carrier Rates for your store.

Install the Rendr Delivery Shopify App and agree to the permissions.

Configuring the App

There are some options that can be configured within the app which will impact the way in which the app performs.

Parcels Tab – Parcel Configuration

The Parcels tab allows merchants to configure default parcel dimensions and weights used to calculate live shipping rates at checkout. This ensures Rendr returns accurate delivery quotes to customers based on a standardised parcel profile.

Rendr's live rate engine requires parcel size and weight inputs to generate pricing. For merchants who use consistent packaging sizes, this configuration acts as the default fallback when no item-specific packaging data is available.

Fields

Field	Description
Length (cm)	Enter the standard length of your parcel in centimetres.
Width (cm)	Enter the standard width of your parcel in centimetres.
Height (cm)	Enter the standard height of your parcel in centimetres.
Weight (kg)	Enter the typical weight of your parcel in kilograms.

Rates Tab – Custom Shipping Rates & Delivery Options

The Rates tab allows merchants to control how Rendr delivery options are presented at checkout. It includes configuration for enabling live shipping rates, toggling delivery modes, and customizing how each service appears to the customer.

1. Custom Shipping Rates

Purpose
This section controls whether Rendr's dynamic shipping rates are made available during Shopify checkout.

Field	Description
Custom shipping rates are	Indicates whether dynamic rates are currently enabled or disabled.
Enable/Disable button	Toggle this to turn live checkout quoting on or off.
Save	Applies your chosen setting.

2. Available Delivery Options

Purpose
This section allows you to define which Rendr delivery modes are shown to customers and how each appears in the Shopify checkout.

Production Mode Toggle

Field	Description
Custom Rendr delivery options are	Indicates whether custom delivery options are enabled in production.
Enable button	Activates the customised checkout label and delivery type display options.

 

Delivery Mode Settings

Delivery Option	Description	Example Display Label
Rendr Fast	Delivers in 30 minutes to 3 hours (ultra-express).	"Super Super Fast Delivery"
Rendr Same Day / Next Day	Provides delivery by end of day or next day.	"Delivered On The Same Day!"
Rendr Standard	Economy delivery for multi-day ETA orders.	(Editable field, e.g. “Standard Shipping”)

 

Locations Tab – Location Settings

The Locations tab allows you to manage how Rendr determines the pickup or dispatch location for an order when multiple Shopify locations are available. This is particularly useful for multi-store retailers or distributed fulfillment networks.

Fields & Controls

Field / Control	Description
Store	Enter the store_id provided by Rendr's team
Use location selection mode	When enabled, Rendr will intelligently select the optimal pickup location for each order.
Turn on / Off button	Toggles the intelligent location selection logic.
Save	Applies any changes to location mode.

 

How Location Selection Mode Works

When location selection mode is turned on, Rendr dynamically chooses the best fulfillment location for an order using rules configured in Rendr's backend. This may consider:

• Inventory availability

• Distance from the customer

• SLA (e.g. fastest achievable delivery)

• Store operating hours

• Carrier compatibility

Settings

Test Mode

Test mode allows you to interact with Rendr's quoting and booking services in both demo and production environments. When Test Mode is on, deliveries created will not be allocated to a driver, but this rather assists you to simulate the end to end quoting and requesting process.

Quote Mode

Quote mode allows you to disable orders being created in Rendr's system when the delivery method is selected. Use cases for this switch include wanting deliveries to be created with Rendr in an external system, i.e. direct API integration, but still wanting Rendr to return quote results at checkout.

Insert the credentials provided to you by your Rendr Implementation Partner

• Tenant Id

• Client Id
• Client Secret

Enable ‘Order Create Webhooks’ which will notify the Rendr Platform when an order is placed on your website where a customer has selected one of Rendr’s Delivery services.

Ensure you have ‘Customer Carrier Rates’ enabled, which will allows Rendr’s Delivery Services to be shown at your checkout.

2 Enabling Rendr in Your Shipping Profiles

You will need to make sure Rendr rates are being calculated in your Shopify Shipping Settings.

To do this, navigate to settings --> Shipping and delivery.

Check your shipping profiles contain Rendr carrier rates.
