1. Overview
The Rendr + Shopify integration allows you to offer Rendr delivery services directly in your Shopify checkout.
Once installed, your customers can select Rendr delivery options 3 Hour, Same Day & Standard delivery options while placing an order.
This integration helps merchants:
Provide flexible delivery choices at checkout
Display live delivery pricing based on parcel size and destination
Automatically notify Rendr when orders are placed
Reduce manual delivery booking work
After the integration is connected:
Shopify sends delivery requests and order details to Rendr
Rendr returns delivery rates and service options at checkout
Deliveries can be created automatically when customers choose Rendr
Prerequisites
Before installing, make sure your Shopify store supports Rendr carrier rates.
Rendr requires Shopify’s Custom Carrier Rates feature to show live delivery options at checkout.
What you’ll need
A Shopify store with Admin access
Custom Carrier Rates enabled in Shopify

Rendr API credentials from your Implementation Partner:
Tenant ID
Client ID
Client Secret
Permission to install Shopify apps
2. How It Works (High-Level)
The integration connects Shopify checkout to Rendr’s delivery platform.
Shopify sends parcel and address information to Rendr during checkout
Rendr returns available delivery services and pricing
The customer selects a Rendr delivery option (Fast, Same Day, Standard)
When the order is placed, Shopify notifies Rendr automatically
Rendr creates a delivery request and manages delivery tracking
Once booked, delivery status updates can flow back into your fulfilment process.
3. Installation Steps
Step 1 – Enable Custom Carrier Rates in Shopify
Rendr delivery options require Shopify’s Custom Carrier Rates feature.
Log into your Shopify Admin
Contact Shopify Support
Request that Custom Carrier Rates be enabled on your store
Success looks like:
Carrier-calculated shipping rates are available in your shipping settings. This is included in Shopify Advanced & Plus plans
Step 2 – Install the Rendr Delivery App
Open the Rendr Shopify App HERE
Click Install App
Review the requested permissions
Click Agree and Install
Step 3 – Enter Your Rendr API Credentials
In Shopify Admin, go to Apps
Click Rendr Delivery Platform
Open the Settings section
Enter the credentials provided by your Rendr Implementation Partner and press Save:
Field meanings:
Tenant ID: Identifies your business account in Rendr
Client ID: Connects Shopify to Rendr securely
Client Secret: Authorises delivery requests and rate lookups
⚠️ Keep these values private. Do not share them publicly.
Step 4 – Confirm Carrier Rates Are Enabled
In Shopify Admin, go to Settings
Click Shipping and delivery
Review your shipping profiles
Make sure:
Rendr carrier rates appear as available options
4. Configuration
The Rendr Shopify App includes several configuration tabs that affect checkout pricing and delivery creation.
Parcels Tab – Default Parcel Settings
The Parcels tab defines the default parcel size and weight used to calculate live delivery rates.
This is important if your store uses consistent packaging.
Open the Rendr app
Click Parcels
Enter your standard parcel details:

Rates Tab – Checkout Delivery Options
The Rates tab controls which Rendr delivery services appear to customers.
Custom Shipping Rates Toggle
This setting controls whether live delivery quotes are shown at checkout.
Go to Rates
Find Custom shipping rates are
Toggle Enable or Disable
Click Save
Success looks like:
Customers see Rendr delivery prices during checkout once enabled
Available Delivery Options (Production Mode)
You can choose which delivery modes appear and customise their labels.
Under Available Delivery Options, enable Custom Rendr delivery options
Configure the delivery services:

Locations Tab – Pickup Location Settings
If your Shopify store uses multiple fulfilment locations, Rendr can automatically choose the best dispatch point.
Open the Rendr app
Click Locations
Enter Store ID provided by Rendr
Test Mode
Test Mode allows you to simulate deliveries without dispatching a driver.
Go to Settings
Toggle Test Mode ON
In Test Mode:
Quotes work normally
Deliveries are created for testing only
No real driver allocation occurs
Use this before switching to Production.
Quote Mode
Quote Mode allows Rendr rates to appear at checkout without creating deliveries in Rendr.
This is useful if:
You want deliveries created through another system
You only need Rendr pricing in Shopify checkout
Toggle Quote Mode ON to disable delivery creation
⚠️ If enabled, orders will not automatically create deliveries in Rendr.
Rollback Instructions
To disable Rendr delivery options:
Open Apps → Rendr Delivery
Go to Rates
Disable Custom shipping rates
Save changes
This removes Rendr services from checkout immediately.
5. Testing the Integration
Testing ensures delivery options and order creation work correctly.
Step 1 – Place a Test Order
Add an item to your cart
Proceed to checkout
Confirm Rendr delivery options appear
Step 2 – Select a Rendr Delivery Service
Choose one option:
Rendr Fast
Rendr Flexible (Same Day)
Rendr Standard
Complete checkout.
Success looks like:
The order is placed successfully
Rendr is selected as the shipping method
Step 3 – Confirm Delivery Creation in Rendr
Log into your Rendr merchant dashboard
Open Deliveries
Find the new delivery linked to your Shopify order
Confirm:
Delivery status is Created or Requested
Tracking is available (if enabled)
6. Troubleshooting
Common Issues
Issue: Rendr delivery options do not appear at checkout
Cause: Custom Carrier Rates are not enabled in Shopify

Resolution:
Contact Shopify Support
Request Custom Carrier Rates
Refresh shipping profiles and retry
Issue: Authentication error when connecting the app
Cause: Tenant ID, Client ID, or Client Secret is incorrect

Resolution:
Re-open the Rendr app settings
Copy/paste credentials again
Confirm you are using the correct environment
Issue: Orders are not being sent to Rendr
Cause: Quote mode turned off

Go to Settings → Ensure quote mode is turned off
Save and place a new test order
