Rendr + WooCommerce Integration Guide

Firstly, install the Rendr WooCommerce plugin HERE

 

1. Overview

The Rendr + WooCommerce integration allows you to offer Rendr delivery services directly in your WooCommerce checkout.

Once installed, your customers can select Rendr delivery options while placing an order, and deliveries can be automatically booked through Rendr.

This integration helps merchants:

  • Provide flexible delivery choices at checkout

  • Display live delivery pricing based on parcel size and destination

  • Automatically book deliveries when orders are placed

  • Reduce manual delivery booking work

After the integration is connected:

  • WooCommerce sends delivery requests and order details to Rendr

  • Rendr returns delivery rates and service options at checkout

  • Deliveries can be created automatically when customers choose Rendr

Prerequisites

Before installing, make sure your WooCommerce store supports third-party shipping methods.

Rendr requires accurate product dimensions and shipping zone setup to display delivery options correctly.

What you’ll need

  • Admin access to your WooCommerce Dashboard

  • The latest Rendr WooCommerce plugin

  • Rendr API credentials from your Implementation Partner:

    • Brand ID

    • Client ID

    • Client Secret

    • Store ID 

2. How It Works (High-Level)

The integration connects WooCommerce checkout to Rendr’s delivery platform.

  • WooCommerce sends parcel and address information to Rendr during checkout

  • Rendr returns available delivery services and pricing

  • The customer selects a Rendr delivery option at checkout

  • When the order is placed, Rendr can automatically book the delivery

  • Rendr manages delivery tracking and status updates

Once booked, delivery information can be referenced in your fulfilment workflow.

3. Installation Steps

Step 1 – Download the Rendr WooCommerce Plugin

  1. Download the latest Rendr WooCommerce plugin HERE

Step 2 – Upload the Plugin

  1. Log into your WooCommerce Admin Dashboard

  2. Navigate to Plugins → Add New

  3. Click Upload Plugin

  4. Select the Rendr plugin ZIP file

  5. Click Install Now

Step 3 – Activate the Plugin

Once installation completes:

  1. Click Activate Plugin

Success looks like:

  • Rendr appears in your installed plugins list

  • The plugin status shows as Active

Step 4 – Open Rendr Settings

  1. In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins

  2. Locate Rendr

  3. Click Settings

Step 5 – Enter Your Rendr API Credentials

Enter the credentials provided by your Rendr Implementation Partner and press Save:

Field meanings:

  • Brand ID: Identifies your business account in Rendr

  • Store ID: Optional identifier for multi-store setups

  • Client ID: Connects WooCommerce to Rendr securely

  • Client Secret: Authorises delivery requests and rate lookups

⚠️ Keep these values private. Do not share them publicly.

4. Configuration

The Rendr WooCommerce plugin includes several configuration options that affect checkout pricing and delivery creation.

UAT Mode (Testing Environment)

UAT Mode allows you to test your configuration safely before going live.

  1. Go to Rendr Settings

  2. Toggle Enable UAT Mode ON

In UAT Mode:

  • Quotes work normally

  • Deliveries are created for testing only

  • No real driver allocation occurs

Use this before switching to Production.

Auto Delivery Booking

This setting controls whether deliveries are automatically booked when an order is placed.

  • Enabled: Deliveries are automatically booked in Rendr

  • Disabled: Store managers must manually book deliveries from the Orders page

Misconfiguration impact:

  • If disabled, deliveries may not be dispatched until manually created.

Authority To Leave

This controls whether parcels can be left safely if the recipient is not available.

  • Enabled: Order will be left in a safe place

  • Disabled: Delivery requires handover

If disabled and no one is available:

  • The order may be returned to sender

Default Product Dimensions & Weights

Rendr requires accurate parcel sizing to calculate delivery pricing correctly.

All products should have:

  • Length

  • Width

  • Height

  • Weight

We strongly recommend setting dimensions and weight at the product level to avoid pricing discrepancies.

Specific Product Types

Select any applicable special product types in the Rendr settings.

When enabled:

  • All deliveries will be created with these delivery considerations applied

Only enable these options if they match your product catalogue.

Shipping Zones

Rendr delivery rates will only appear in zones where Rendr is enabled as a shipping method.

After completing configuration:

  1. Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → Shipping Zones

  2. Open each eligible zone

  3. Ensure Rendr Delivery is enabled as a shipping method

Success looks like:

  • Customers see Rendr delivery options in all required zones

Rollback Instructions

To disable Rendr delivery options:

  1. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping Zones

  2. Remove or disable Rendr Delivery

  3. Save changes

This removes Rendr services from checkout immediately.

5. Testing the Integration

Testing ensures delivery options and booking behaviour work correctly.

Step 1 – Place a Test Order

  1. Add a product to your cart

  2. Proceed to checkout

  3. Enter a valid delivery address

Confirm Rendr delivery options appear.

Step 2 – Complete Checkout

  1. Select a Rendr delivery option

  2. Place the order

Success looks like:

  • The order is placed successfully

  • Rendr is selected as the shipping method

Step 3 – Confirm Delivery Booking in Rendr

If Auto Booking is enabled:

  1. Log into your Rendr merchant dashboard

  2. Open Deliveries

  3. Find the new delivery linked to your WooCommerce order

Confirm:

  • Delivery status is Created or Requested

  • Tracking is available (if enabled)

6. Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Issue: Rendr delivery rates are not appearing at checkout

Cause: Shipping Zones are not configured correctly

Resolution:

  • Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping Zones

  • Open the relevant zone

  • Ensure Rendr Delivery is enabled

Issue: Authentication error when connecting the plugin

Cause: Brand ID, Client ID, or Client Secret is incorrect

Resolution:

  • Re-open the Rendr plugin settings

  • Copy/paste credentials again

  • Save changes and refresh
